Aft Mid Or Front Cruise Ship
Likewise you cant get a balcony room too low on the ship.
Aft mid or front cruise ship. The ship has stabilisers and can fill tanks either side to avoid movement. Midship rooms lower on the ship are theoretically the best for minimizing motion. Like mid ship to avoid loud noises like above but don t worry about movementnot like oceanvery smooth.
The lower you are in the ship the less movement you will have. In the past prior to modern day cruise ship design and stabilising technology it was the case that the mid-ship area was always the best bet for cabin position. Aft may get some noise or vibration from the aft thrusters and some lateral oscillation from the rotation of the propellers.
Think bars lounges. Of course the middle is optimal but I would definitely go aft instead of forward if I had to make that choice. I prefer mid-ship because its easy to get to either the front or back of the ship but I have happily sailed in the front and back of the ship also and enjoyed them equally.

In that vein the bow is located forward to the front on a ship and the stern is located aft to the back. But if you go to low can have noise from the ships work decks engines etc. The cabins go from about 242sqft to 472sqft.
