Are cruise ships still operating. In the past month most major cruise lines have suspended operations starting with hard-hit Carnival-operated Princess Cruises on March 12. While the cruise industry stages a comeback this summer in Europe and the Caribbean a number of lines are already sailing in April. As of this writing most operators that routinely offer expedition cruises to Antarctica including Hurtigruten Quark Expeditions Seabourn and Silversea have all cancelled their 2020-2021.

The ships will join Eurodam Koningsdam Nieuw Amsterdam Nieuw Statendam Rotterdam and Zuiderdam which have returned to service or are slated to restart cruising by November 2021. As some cruise ships have operated under multiple names all names will be listed in the Status section along with the history of the vessel under the vessels current or most recent name. MSC Cruises ships still in operation in South America and South African sailings will end operations at the end of the current itineraries the company said. While we have seen a few cruise ships resume operations in Europe and other destinations around the world since last summer most of these vessels remain off-limits to Americans.

Here are the cruise lines actually operating right now. The 2005-built cruise ship will be restarting cruises in the new year when she sets sail on January 3 2022 from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas. We are excited to announce the return to service this summer for many of our ships.
